Sexual and Reproductive Health-Care Service
Infertility management and obstetrics-gynaecology care

Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) demonstrates a strong institutional commitment to sexual and reproductive health by providing comprehensive, evidence-based medical services through its healthcare facilities, including Unpad Hospital (RS Unpad) and Klinik Padjadjaran. These facilities offer a wide range of services addressing diverse patient needs, with a particular focus on infertility management and obstetrics-gynaecology care. Infertility services encompass thorough diagnostic procedures such as fertility assessments and ultrasonography, as well as therapeutic interventions including intrauterine insemination (IUI), delivered through patient-centred approaches that prioritise both clinical effectiveness and compassionate care. The obstetrics and gynaecology unit further covers the full spectrum of maternal health needs, including antenatal care, labour and delivery support, contraceptive counselling, and early detection programmes for cervical and breast cancer.
Beyond clinical service delivery, Unpad’s healthcare facilities function simultaneously as centres for academic research and education in sexual and reproductive health. This dual role as both a service provider and an academic institution creates a dynamic environment where scientific inquiry and clinical practice reinforce one another, ensuring that services remain continuously aligned with the latest developments in reproductive medicine. Through this integrated approach combining accessible healthcare, patient education, and ongoing research, Unpad makes a sustained and meaningful contribution to improving sexual and reproductive health outcomes for both the university community and the wider public.

The event was attended by 60 participants from the academic community and Unpad alumni, and opened with an educational session delivered by qualified medical personnel covering the importance of routine examinations, early warning signs, and preventive measures for cervical and prostate cancer. Following the education session, participants received free pap smear examinations and direct health consultations, providing accessible early detection services at no cost. This initiative reflects Unpad’s commitment to making reproductive health services inclusive, preventive, and easily accessible for both its campus community and alumni network.
