Carbon Emissions Reporting (GHG Protocol)

Universitas Padjadjaran reports its carbon emissions in alignment with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and relevant international frameworks, including GRI Disclosure 305-1 (Direct GHG Emissions/Scope 1) and GRI Disclosure 305-2 (Energy Indirect GHG Emissions/Scope 2). This approach ensures transparency, consistency, and comparability in institutional carbon reporting.

The university accounts for Scope 1 emissions (GRI 305-1) from direct sources such as fuel consumption in campus operations, including vehicles and equipment. In addition, Scope 2 emissions (GRI 305-2) are calculated from purchased electricity used across academic buildings and operational facilities. Emission calculations are based on institutional energy consumption data and apply recognized emission factors.

Through this standardized methodology, Universitas Padjadjaran is able to monitor carbon performance effectively and support data driven decision making. This system strengthens climate mitigation efforts and reinforces the university’s commitment to sustainable campus management and long term environmental responsibility.
