Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the development of human resource capacity in the fields of environment and sustainability through various applicable and collaborative training programs. A number of environmental trainings have been organized involving lecturers, students, communities, and external partners. The average duration of each training ranges from 3 to 5 hours, with materials designed to enhance technical skills, awareness of occupational safety, and understanding of contemporary environmental issues.

 

 

Integrating Environmental Training with Safety and Resilience Practices

 

In 2025, Universitas Padjadjaran strengthens campus environmental safety and resilience through regular disaster preparedness simulations implemented across faculties and units. As part of the university’s Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (SMK3L), these activities ensure readiness for emergencies such as earthquakes and fires by involving coordinated evacuation procedures, medical response, and safety infrastructure testing. This initiative fosters a culture of preparedness among students, staff, and faculty, reinforcing Unpad’s commitment to a safe, resilient, and sustainable campus environment.

Advancing Soil Microbiology Skills for Sustainable Biofertilizer Development

 

The Center for Land Resource Management Systems, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, conducted a training on basic techniques and microbiological testing of biofertilizer products on 9–12 December 2025 at the Soil Biology Laboratory. The program focused on enhancing technical competencies in microbiological analysis and quality testing of biofertilizers based on endophytic bacteria and Bacillus rhizobacteria, supporting sustainable agricultural practices and environmentally responsible land resource management.
