In 2024, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) strengthened its environmentally friendly campus initiative by implementing a structured system for tracking low-carbon energy use. Guided by Rector Regulations No. 3/2022 on Environmentally Friendly Campus Management and No. 13/2022 on Green Building, the university developed clear procedures to monitor energy generation, distribution, and efficiency across its facilities.

This system collects and documents data from solar panels, biogas installations, hydro power units, and wind energy systems to measure their role in lowering carbon emissions. The information is routinely reviewed to assess performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and ensure alignment with Unpad’s sustainability commitments.
Through regular monitoring and transparent reporting, Unpad’s low-carbon energy tracking mechanism enhances energy efficiency and demonstrates measurable progress toward building a sustainable, low-emission campus environment.
