Net Zero Commitment

Following the Rector Regulation of Universitas Padjadjaran Number 13 of 2022 concerning Green Buildings, Universitas Padjadjaran is committed to reducing the impact of climate change and creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable campus environment. This commitment is implemented through a structured climate action plan involving all faculties, schools, and work units, which has been continuously carried out since 2024.

As part of this initiative, Universitas Padjadjaran implements a carbon neutrality program for the period 2024–2029, aligned with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. This implementation reflects the university’s measurable pathway toward achieving its carbon reduction targets by 2029.

The action plan includes comprehensive measures such as reducing carbon emissions through sustainable transportation policies, limiting motorized vehicle use, promoting electric bicycles, and transitioning from LPG to biogas. In addition, the university strengthens energy efficiency by increasing the use of solar energy, reducing electricity consumption, and promoting energy-saving behavior across campus.

Furthermore, Universitas Padjadjaran enhances environmental sustainability through the expansion of green open spaces, including vertical gardens, campus forests, and responsible vegetation management practices.

Through these integrated efforts, Universitas Padjadjaran demonstrates a strong institutional commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing a low-carbon campus aligned with global sustainability goals.
