Universitas Padjadjaran has a dedicated office responsible for promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights on campus. This office is tasked with advising the administration and governing body on policies, programs, and training related to these issues. The Gender and Child Research Center provides a “Safe Space” facility for victims and survivors of sexual violence. This facility is expected to be a place for victims and survivors to get security and protection from the trap of violence they experience, in addition to having a Gender and Child Research Center and also a Safe Space Facility. Padjadjaran University also has a Task Force for preventing and Handling Sexual Violence. This Task Force routinely provides assistance and investigations into Reports of Sexual Violence on Campus and submits reports periodically.
Task Force of Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling
In 2024, Universitas Padjadjaran strengthened its institutional commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights by organizing a formal deliberation process to appoint the Chair and Secretary of the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS) for the 2024–2026 period. The forum, held on 27 September 2024, elected Dr. Ari Jogaiswara Adipurwawidjana as Chair and Eka Komalasari Adiwilaga as Secretary, leading a team of 13 members representing students, academic staff, and faculty. As a university-appointed body mandated to implement policies, programmes, and trainings related to safety, inclusivity, and the protection of human rights on campus, Satgas PPKS functions as a key diversity and equality mechanism within the institution. The university’s leadership emphasized that this renewed task force brings new energy to advancing awareness and safeguarding inclusive campus values, while also acknowledging the contributions of the previous 2022–2024 task force and encouraging knowledge transfer to strengthen future work.
