Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) upholds a strong principle and commitment to integrity, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption and bribery. To reinforce this commitment, the university has established Integrity Zones at both the university and faculty levels, fostering a culture of accountability across all institutional units. Anti-corruption education is embedded within the academic curriculum, ensuring that ethical awareness becomes part of students’ learning experience. Furthermore, Unpad operates an Anti-Corruption Clinic and a Center for Legal and Constitutional Studies, both of which play a pivotal role in cultivating an integrity-based academic environment and strengthening the university’s anti-corruption ecosystem.
Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) has implemented comprehensive Gratification Control and Bureaucratic Reform Policies to strengthen integrity, transparency, and accountability across the institution. These regulations require all employees to report any instances of gratification they experience or witness, while the Gratification Control Unit provides consultation and coordinates with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to ensure effective implementation of the system. Unpad’s strong governance practices and commitment to integrity have positioned it as a national model for clean university management, with several other universities visiting Unpad to learn about its successful Integrity Zone and anti-corruption initiatives.

In 2024, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) strengthened its efforts to promote integrity and transparency through the Anti-Corruption Education and Awareness Program, held in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of Indonesia. The initiative was highlighted during the KPK Roadshow Bus Public Lecture titled “The Role of Universities in Preventing Corruption in Indonesia,” which took place at Bale Sawala, Jatinangor, on 8 August 2024. The event emphasized that corruption can occur in any environment, including academic settings, and encouraged students to internalize anti-corruption values as part of their moral and civic responsibility. KPK Deputy for Education and Community Participation, Wawan Wardiana, S.T., M.T., discussed the importance of cultivating awareness and adherence to the law among students as the first step in eradicating corruption from daily life.
The session also introduced students to the seven common forms of corruption, such as bribery, embezzlement, extortion, gratification, fraud, conflict of interest, and state financial losses. Through interactive discussions, Wawan urged students to contribute actively to anti-corruption efforts by conducting research, initiating student-led movements, and fostering integrity-based academic environments. This initiative aligns with Unpad’s broader mission to build an anti-corruption ecosystem on campus, integrating prevention, education, and participation. By embedding anti-corruption awareness into its academic and extracurricular activities, Unpad continues to uphold the principles of Good University Governance, supporting SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
