Theater Performances, Literary, Theater, and Film Arts Center (GSSTF)

At Universitas Padjadjaran itself, it would only be adequate to discuss art by mentioning one of the Student Activity Units (UKM), which is quite popular. Often abbreviated as GSSTF, the Literary, Theater and Film Arts Center is one of the leading figures in the agenda for revitalizing literary and theatrical arts among Universitas Padjadjaran students. Formed around 1984, GSSTF has become the background for creating various works by Unpad students. GSSTF not only creates literary and theatrical performances through creative films but also creates space for Unpad students to develop their talents and interests.

One of the major artistic events organized by Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) in support of the arts was the Festamasio XI, a national student theater festival held at the Jatinangor Campus from November 17 to 19, 2024. The festival featured 11 theatrical performances by student theater groups from universities across Indonesia, showcasing creativity, cultural expression, and contemporary social themes. Among the participants, Teater Sastra Unpad represented the host university with an original performance that reflected local identity and artistic innovation. Through this event, Unpad strengthened its role in promoting performing arts, fostering collaboration among young artists, and preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage through theater.
