Disability Accommodation Policy at Universitas Padjadjaran

disability policy

Universitas Padjadjaran ensures full inclusion and equal access for students with disabilities through the implementation of the Chancellor’s Regulation No. 23 of 2021 on Services for Students with Disabilities on Campus. This policy guarantees the right to assistance, translation services, and access to all campus facilities without additional cost. It is guided by core principles of dignity, non-discrimination, participation, equality, and accessibility, ensuring that all students can pursue education and campus activities without barriers. The policy also emphasizes adequate institutional support and funding to maintain inclusive infrastructure and provide individualized accommodations as needed. By integrating inclusivity into its governance and daily operations, Unpad upholds its commitment to human rights and creates an environment where students with disabilities can learn, engage, and succeed on an equal basis with others.

In addition to the regulatory framework, Universitas Padjadjaran actively operationalises this commitment through coordinated institutional practices that support the academic and social participation of students with disabilities. Dedicated support units and campus services work collaboratively to identify individual needs, facilitate reasonable accommodations, and ensure that learning activities, assessments, and extracurricular programmes are inclusive and accessible. Regular monitoring and coordination with faculties and administrative units further ensure that accessibility measures are implemented consistently across campus, reinforcing Unpad’s broader commitment to inclusive education, equal opportunity, and respect for diversity in line with national regulations and international human rights principles.
